NOAA Observing System Monitoring Center

Real-time GTS Data Updated Hourly

Plot real-time data from the ocean observing system. The most recent 45-days of data are viewable (updated hourly). Search by platform code. Color the platforms on the map by country or platform type. Display only platforms from selected countries, platform types or by available data parameters.

Past and Present Saildrone Missions

Current and Past Saildrone Data Visualization

Plot real-time data from the ocean observing system. The most recent 45-days of data are viewable (updated hourly). Search by platform code. Color the platforms on the map by country or platform type. Display only platforms from selected countries, platform types or by available data parameters.

Historical Observing System Monitoring Center

Visualize the OSMC Data from 2020 to 2024

Calculate summary statistics about the state of the ocean observing system. See the total number of observations and the number of observations per week by platform. See a history of an individual platform. See what platforms were active from 2020 to 2024 and the storm path during any named storm.

OceanSITES Air-sea Fluxes

Discover data by type and date range

Quantify ocean-atmosphere heat exchange by exploring which of the 96 buoy sites have wind stress, net surface heat flux, bulk turbulence heat flux, precipitation, and evaporation minus precipitation during the period of 1997 to 2022. You can plot timeseries and download data from each site.

OceanSITES Long Timeseries

Multi-deployment long timeseries

Merged multi-deployment temperature and salinity data from 22 different buoy sites reporting starting from 2004. You can plot a timeseries of each deployment at every depth for any buoy and also see a depth/profile plot colored by value. You explore which buoys have data for any given time period.

OceanSITES Deep Timeseries

Multi-deployment timeseries below 2000 m

Deep ocean temperature, salinity, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen measurements from 15 sites across the global ocean at 2000 meters or deeper. Multiple deployments at the same location are combined for the longest timeseries possible for each site. Includes profiles plots vs pressure or depth.

PDV (PMEL Data Viewer)

All data past and present from our ERDDAP.

Make a plot and download data from a variety of observation and model data from PMEL science groups including, atmospheric chemistry, ecosystems and fisheries observations, ARGO floats, surface carbon and ocean acidification buoys, and arctic radiation flux measurements. Download data from any plot.
